The ambition of the Pärnu Smelt Festival is to be renowned food tourism event in the Baltic and Nordic regions!
Pärnu Smelt Festival is an annual food tourism event in Pärnu, Estonia with a large number of visitors. Since 2025, it has been agreed with Pärnu Municipal Government that the festival takes place every year during the whole April with an aim to honour Estonian smelt fish as well to start Pärnu summer season earlier for Pärnu restaurants and visitors. The entrance is free for everyone!
During the festival period various dining establishments in Pärnu offer the creations of top chefs made from smelt. Participating restaurants will serve a special smelt-themed menu from April 1 to April 30, 2027. You can find the list of restaurants offering smelt in the schedule.
